The Traffic Group was facing a 19-year incumbent when we decided to pursue this contract, requiring collection of approximately 100,000 counts each year for 11 years throughout the entire State of Texas. We knew the only way to win the contract was to demonstrate during the proposal phase that we were serious, and capable. The Traffic Group made a significant investment by purchasing all new equipment. We took a gamble and it paid off: The Traffic Group won a minimum 11-year contract with TXDOT. We now have a substantial team of local Texas professionals we hired in state to service this contract.
