Peninsula Regional Medical Center planned a 928.000 square foot addition to an existing Salisbury hospital campus.
Peninsula Regional Medical Center planned a 928.000 square foot addition to an existing Salisbury hospital campus. They reached out to The Traffic Goup to conduct a traffic impact study to determine what improvements would be required on surrounding roads to accommodate the expansion. As the campus grew, the existing roadway network did not provide for smooth access through the campus and to the entrances and parking areas. And, after expansion, the existing parking areas were deemed inadequate.
As part of the traffic impact study, traffic flow was analyzed on campus under existing conditions and with the proposed expansion, and traffic counts were conducted to ascertain demand at major access points on campus. Our study delivered various concepts for improved parking, improved safety, and improved traffic flow on campus and on surrounding roadways.
