The Traffic Group prepared a Traffic Impact Study to quantify the peak hour impact associated with the development of a new elementary school on Charles Street (MD 139) in Towson.
The Traffic Group prepared a Traffic Impact Study to quantify the peak hour impact associated with the development of a new elementary school on Charles Street (MD 139) in Towson. A school capacity of up to 451 students was considered. The traditional AM and PM peak hours in addition to the afternoon school peak hour were analyzed using Critical Lane Volume (CLV) Methodology. To maximize safety and efficiency at the site access point, we completed a Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis. The Maryland State Highway Administration agreed that signalization was appropriate and we prepared the traffic signal plans and associated signing/marking plans.
