The Traffic Group Names Renee Guckert Corporate Counsel

Baltimore, MD (4/1/26) — Renee C. Guckert, Esq. has been named Corporate Counsel for The Traffic Group (TTG), the largest privately owned “just traffic” engineering, traffic engineering, and data collection firm in the U.S.

As Corporate Counsel, Guckert will provide comprehensive legal advice to TTG’s senior management and board of directors, acting as a strategic partner to mitigate risk and ensure legal compliance. She will manage all daily legal matters – including contracts, employment issues, and intellectual property – align business strategies with regulatory requirements, and spearhead all of the company’s philanthropic initiatives.

Founded in 1985, TTG uses sophisticated technology and the in-house experience of more than 100 industry professionals to help determine road improvements, signal and sign location, lighting plans, land usage, public facility and capacity issues, and security measures. With over 6,000 pieces of traffic data collection equipment, TTG has the largest inventory of such equipment in the U.S. and conducts more than 100,000 traffic counts for clients annually.

In addition to her new position with TTG, Guckert will maintain her private law practice. The Law Office of Renee C. Guckert concentrates primarily on family law issues, including separation, divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, premarital agreements, and domestic violence.

“Renee is highly regarded by her clients and within legal circles and the business community as a strong and passionate advocate,” says TTG President Anthony Guckert. “We are thrilled to have her handle our legal and charitable work as The Traffic Group moves into its fifth decade, developing real solutions to the traffic engineering and transportation planning issues our clients worldwide encounter on a daily basis.”

A graduate of Washington College and the University of Baltimore School of Law, Renee Guckert started her own law firm in 2000 with a commitment to providing compassionate and knowledgeable legal support to clients going through challenging family transitions. She has since been named to Super Lawyers of Maryland, an exclusive list of top-rated attorneys in specific practice areas.

Like her late father, TTG Founder and former Chairman and CEO Wes Guckert, Renee is very involved in philanthropic pursuits. She has been engaged in fundraising efforts for the Children’s Scholarship Fund of Baltimore, Folds of Honor, Empowered Network, the Shari L. Simone Memorial Foundation, Believe in Tomorrow, and previously served as President and Chairperson of the Mad Hatter’s Charity Foundation.
